About Farming Community






Objective : To join rural women and marginal farmers by means of groups for loans from banks and provide a market for their products to increase income.
Farmers Club, S.H.G. & J.L.G.. program with the help of National Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development (NABARD), 50 joint liability groups, 150 self-help groups and 25 farmer clubs have been formed under Kanda tehsil of district and development block Bageshwar. 1500 beneficiaries through self-help groups, about 300 through farmer clubs and about 500 through joint liability groups are being given the benefit of loan facility through banks linked to the programme. Meet with Expert First & Second programs were organized by the organization among farmers clubs. Under which the members of the club are trained by the experts of the Department of Horticulture, Agriculture and Animal Husbandry, diseases caused by fruits and vegetables, benefits of Burmese compost, marketing of advanced varieties of seeds and vegetables, milk production, breed improvement, proper care of animals and horses. Detailed information was given about diseases related to diseases and improved fodder for domesticated animals. A one-day excursion program was organized for farmers at Krishi Vigyan Kendra Kafligair to inform them about advanced agriculture and animal husbandry techniques.
